The PRX-4 Proximity Voltage Detector provides utility professionals, arborists and first responders with a safety tool that will alert them to potentially dangerous high voltage in their work areas. The PRX-4 is a non contact detector with two voltage ranges: 

·         50V – 4kV, 3” (8cm) detection range

·         4kV – UP, 10” (25cm) detection range

The PRX-4 utilizes a rugged, durable, water resistant housing with dual hotstick connections - universal spline and shotgun stick. All of this is achieved while weighing less than 1 pound (.45kg).

Proximity Voltage Detector Features

·         Sealed to resist water penetration in typical outdoor environments

·         Two voltage ranges from 50V to 4kV and above 4kV

·         Detects voltages typically 3” (8cm) from the source at the 50V setting and 4kV at 10” (25cm) at the 4kV setting

·         Higher voltages result in greater detection distances

·         Rechargeable battery with quick recharge - 15 minutes for a full day of use

·         Heartbeat signal assures that the PRX is ready to detect voltage

·         Rugged, durable housing

·         Loud beeper and LED lights indicate voltage
